AVA Gallery Executive Director Heidi Reynolds Resigns

Heidi Reynolds, AVA Gallery and Art Center’s Executive Director since November 2019, announced she will be leaving her position on June 30th, 2021, to devote more time to her family as well as to her own creative pursuits.

When Heidi Reynolds stepped into the position of Executive Director in November 2019, she had no idea that four months later the COVID pandemic would demand a gigantic re-imagining of how AVA would continue to function.

“The way she managed to steer AVA throughout the year of the pandemic was nothing short of impressive,” said AVA Board of Director Chair Alan DiStasio. “She leaves an organization that is financially stable and that—remarkably—found opportunities for development and growth of new programming and outreach that will have a lasting impact beyond the pandemic.”

A search committee has been formed with an eye toward having a new Executive Director in place on September 1.
