Lebanon Opera House: 3 Short Takes
One: Can’t stop looking at the newly renovated Lebanon Opera House. My article about its reset was just published last week in the spring issue of Image Magazine, with beautiful, nay, breathtaking photos by Lars Blackmore. Be sure to read about and take a look at the iron spiral staircase. Pick up a paper copy or see the article here. (It begins on electronic page 46)
Two: TV’s NH Chronicle (WMUR) made the journey to see what all the fuss was about and found more than anticipated. Lebanon’s dedication to the arts was captured on video and included visits not only to the renovated LOH but also to AVA Gallery and Lebanon Ballet School. First broadcast a few weeks ago, you can watch it and see your neighbors talking art online here.
Three: “Right here in River City . . .” The Music Man’s coming! North Country Community Theater will be staging a production of the musical at LOH on June 21, 22, 23 and 28, 29, 30. They are looking for some help with production, so if you are are handy with a hammer or a needle and thread, get in touch. And if you long to be on stage with those trombones, auditions begin in April. Here’s the info.
