Those walls are just so bare. But not for long.
For now, a few trucks parked by the tunnel entrance, some scaffolding and an enormous tarp or two. But this weekend? The much-anticipated public art in Lebanon’s new tunnel will be unveiled on Saturday, December 4 at 4:15 p.m. Join the Lebanon Arts and Culture Commission, Lebanon Recreation Arts & Parks, and featured artists:
"Pollinators" - AVA team: Allison Zito, Amber Geneva, Debra Jayne, Tyler Morrison, and Michael Kraatz
"Ironwood" - Greg Stott
The unveiling is part of ‘Tis the Season, Lebanon’s kickoff holiday celebration from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m on December 4 at Colburn Park and, of course, the tunnel. AVA Gallery will be open from 11:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. The folks from the Upper Valley Music Center will be caroling, Santa will be touring through, characters from Frozen (aptly named for the season) will be in attendance, and the final magical moment will be the tree-lighting ceremony at 5:15 p.m. (Click here for more info and a schedule of activities.)
If you can, please look out for your neighbors by bringing something to help pack a van with food and personal items (click here for a list of suggestions) that will make its way to the Listen Center’s Food Pantry.
DB Lights annual holiday display will be at the Kilton Public Library in West Lebanon, opening on Friday, December 3. Parking is available from 4:30 p.m; light display begins at 5:30 p.m. For more info, click here.
