“Upper Valley Baroque: From Dream to Reality” is a true story of Upper Valley people—Jo Shute, Allan Wieman, and founding artistic director Filippo Ciabatti—who have worked to create Upper Valley Baroque, an ensemble of musicians, singers, and a community who supports them. I wrote the story, just published in the magazine Here in Hanover. Pick up a hard copy (available throughout the UV including at the Co-op Food Stores), to peruse the cover photo and other magnificent images by photographer Lars Blackmore, or read it here.
And, UVB’s fourth season begins. The concerts are often sold out by the performance dates, so you may want to move quickly if you are interested in tickets:
“On Sept. 14 Upper Valley Baroque presents a delicious feast of French chamber music for winds and strings, showcasing UVB's outstanding wind players, as they tell the story of innovations in wind instrument making in the court of Louis XIV and its impact across Europe.” —Upper Valley Baroque
