Ice Cream at Red Kite Candy This Weekend
When locally-owned Red Kite Candy moved into its new location in downtown Hanover NH (click here for an earlier story about them), owners Elaine and Mike McCabe were excited to have a retail space to sell their goods. They also envisioned being able to offer some specialty items and to stage events at the store’s location. This weekend, if you are a fan of Red Kite’s confections, you can drop by the store for a pop-up style event and indulge yourself with—what else?—ice cream.
From owner Elaine McCabe:
Red Kite Candy will be offering ice cream with our own toppings Friday and Saturday the 25th and 26th of June from 12-7pm at our Hanover location (5 South St).
Ice cream flavors are hard-serve vanilla and chocolate, with our toppings. We will have specialty sundaes including, "The Red Kite" (caramel sauce with toffee), and "The 'Snickers'", which has chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, and peanuts. Additionally, we have a la carte items for your own customizations.
Support a local business that sent its candy to hospital workers during the worst of the pandemic. Not to mention that their caramels are insanely good.
